Spring Break Collegiate Challenge

Collegiate Challenge is an annual trip that takes place during Spring Break. As part of UCLA Habitat’s Collegiate Challenge, you will be able to travel cross country and spend your vacation exploring the lively city, soaking up local culture, and, all the while, helping the less fortunate rebuild their homes. We will work with the local affiliate, community and deserving families to help eliminate poverty housing in the area.

This year, we will be heading to Hawai’i the week of March 20-26, 2016! Spend your Spring Break with us, spend it meeting new people, spend it making a difference!

For questions, feel free to email our Collegiate Challenge Coordinator Monica at g.monica1010@gmail.com!

“Doing Habitat for spring break was the best thing I could have done with my first spring break as a grad student. The people on the trip and the fun times we had were just as amazing as the build work, and everything we did, from working on the houses to going out in New Orleans, had such a sense of purpose and positive energy behind it. Hands down the greatest spring break I’ve had!” – Ross

“Best spring break I have ever had! My beach was the build site, my margarita was the hammer, and my satisfaction came from the homeowner’s smile.” – Stephen

“Being in NOLA was most definitely a great experience, it was my best spring break thus far. From sharing endless memories with fellow amazing diverse bruins, such as eating crawfish and even jambalaya stuffed catfish, plus dancing to Zydeco music with locals…we got a good feel for New Orleans’ “who dat” culture. Besides playing hard, we definitely worked hard. I learned how to install doors and doorknobs. Moreover we touched up and nearly completed three houses for these amazing individuals. It was a gratifying accomplishment. Good times!” – Jessica
